The perfect book for our current time: Super Fun Family Card Games 75 Games for All Ages by Corinne Schmitt

We are all looking for diversions as we hunker down at home, whether for ourselves, with other adults or with the kids in our lives. This book includes games to be played by one, by two or by two or more players. There are the rules for 75 card games including everything from Go Fish to Spite and Malice to various solitaire games.

I highly recommend this book. It will provide some fun as we while away the days at home.

This is a newer game that’s really popular with kids. It’s a quick-paced game that’s easy to learn, so it’s fun for the whole family.

Objective: Get four of a kind in all of your piles

How to Deal: The dealer deals four piles of four face-down cards to each player for three or six players, or six piles of four face-down cards for two, four, or five players

The remaining cards are placed face up in a row between the players.

How to Play: To begin the game, the dealer yells, “Go!” Players pick up each of their piles, look at the four cards in the pile, and decide if they want to trade a card from the pile for one of the face-up cards in the center in an effort to create a pile of four of a kind.

Players can only look at one of their piles at a time and can only replace one card at a time. They cannot trade cards directly from one pile to another. There are no turns. Everyone plays simultaneously. The first player to create matching sets of four in all of their piles yells, “James Bond!” to end the game.

Materials

One deck of cards with jokers removed (two decks for four to six players)
