I read and reviewed the Jodi Picoult novel which was very timely. The Apothecary Rose is the start of a very good historical mystery series. I am currently in love with Louise Penny’s books, of which one is a bargain today. Possibly best read in order but not necessarily. Last year’s A Better Man was a true favorite! See the review in my archive. Jan Karon is a perfect book for those seeking a quiet read.
Love the new blog color! And I’ve been wanting to try Jodi Picoult’s books. She’s an author I hear about so often but I’ve never read one of her books.

Thanks! I was looking to refresh. I had also looked at the background that I saw on your site. We must have somewhat similar tastes.
One of my daughter’s friends said that everyone’s favorite Jodie Picoult book is the first one that they read. I first read Plain Truth which took place in an Amish community. I have read many more since then and have a number of favorites. Last year’s book, the one that was a bargain yesterday, tries to look at the issue of abortion from many points of view through its fictional lens.
Let me know if you decide to try one. There are many.
