Mindfulness in Bird Watching

Meditations on Nature & Freedom

This title is part of a series on mindfulness in a number of activities as, for example, knitting and baking. Each of these titles is worth a look.

In this one, bird watching is the entry point. It seems like a wonderful way to spend time in mindfulness.

Whenever I go to my local botanical garden, I enjoy seeing the birds, both on the ground and as they fly (sometimes truly soar) across the sky. When I cannot see them, I love hearing their calls, even though I can only identify a few of these. One thing that is certain is that birds make me consider the majesty and wonder of the world. Adding additional meditation to these moments just makes so much sense.

Author Claire Thompson is a wonderful guide. Try some of what she suggests. Life will be enhanced.

Highly recommended.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for this title. All opinions are my own.

I love to read, recommend books and open the world of reading to others. I tutor to ensure that the next generation of readers will know the joys of a good book because their reading skills have improved. I am an avid reader, especially of mysteries and fiction. I believe that two of the world's greatest inventions were the public library and eyeglasses!
