The Malcontenta is part of a series of books about Detectives Brock and Kalla. This one was one of my favorites. The author is Australian but the books are set in England. This one takes place at a spa.

It is interesting how certain Australian authors place their characters in different settings. Michael Robotham and Adrian McKinty are recent examples but the swing is towards more genuine Australian content, without an eye to the international market, although it is more lucrative.

I have always enjoyed the novels that I have read that ate set in Australia tho sometimes those authors are not Australian but British. Have you read Lucinda Riley’s Seven Sisters novels? One of those is set in Australia tho she is not Australian I enjoyed the book.

Thank you, my interest has been piqued with regard to The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley. Another Australian who sets her novels in England is Fiona McIntosh, a multi-genre writer.
