I remember reading Lost Horizon years ago. My dad was a big fan, and I even watched the two adaptations (one from the 30’s, I think, and one from the 70’s which was a musical). Unfortunately, for me the book was kind of bland. Fascinating premise and setting, but I could never connect with the characters.
