by Lisa Roe

Ginny has been living in Queens, New York with her preteen daughter. Ginny’s daughter is a bit quirky. Her and her mom’s lives are about to be uprooted. Ginny has remarried and moved to a New Jersey suburb. It is quite a different experience from what she knew in Queens.
Sometimes things are tough. For example, there is a neighbor who has her eye on Ginny’s husband. Will this family make it through? Will there be a happy ending after all? There definitely are challenges in this at times funny and warm first novel. This is a good summer read. Those who are raising preteen daughters will become absorbed in the parent-child relationship that Ginny and Harri share.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this title. All opinions are my own.
