#TheGreatGatsby #NetGalley
I have read The Great Gatsby at least three times but it is the sort of book that gives more every time a reader spends time with it. I found this edition to be a very appealing one and I enjoyed reading it.
I was drawn first to the gorgeous cover. The graphics inside are also sure to enhance a reader’s enjoyment of the book. It is rare that adults get illustrated stories; this is something special and it makes this edition of the popular novel stand out.
Recommended for Gatsby fans old and new. This would make a great gift for the right person.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel publishing for this title. All opinions are my own.

I want to hear what you love about it. I’ve read it 2x and every time I feel like the characters are in middle school, trying to find out if they like each other. The setting and symbolism is great—it’s the character personalities that I haven’t been able to connect with. Please, help me get it!

I’m not at all sure that the characters are meant to be liked. Tom and Daisy are careless in their privilege, for example.

And maybe that’s why I never related well to it. I just can’t understand that attitude of privilege. By saying this, it makes a bit more sense why I’ve never connected to it. Maybe third time would be the charm.
