How do you get from: Farm to Trouble by Amanda Flower

Here is a first in series for this author. Next is Put Out to Pasture.

This is a book that is very much within the cozy tradition. Protagonist and mystery solver Shiloh Bellamy has left a high flying job to return to her Michigan community. She hopes to save the family farm by running it organically and starting a cafe. Of course, someone known to the family is murdered. Who did it? Why? Readers know that all will be solved by the end so they can relax and turn the pages..

This book will be enjoyed by those who like their mysteries light.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for this title. All opinions are my own.

Who is: Mr. Nobody by Catherine Steadman

#MrNobody #NetGalley

A man is found on a beach. He is still alive but no-one seems to know who he is; hence the title of this book. A neuropsychiatrist, Emma, is asked to work on finding out who this mysterious person, dubbed Matthew, is. Adding to the plot, are things about why Emma left the place where the found man is.

This book has honestly received mixed reviews. I am somewhere in the middle. Have you read this? If yes, what did you think?

Many thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for this title. All opinions are my own.

Editorial Reviews
Review
“Steadman once again brilliantly paces the action from the very first scene. . . . As in all good thrillers, lights unexpectedly snap out, a creepy house is hidden down a tree-woven lane, and long-buried secrets emerge. . . . A spellbinding thriller perfect for those dark and stormy nights.”—Kirkus Reviews

“The elaborate plot, filled with seemingly impossible twists, drives to a suspenseful conclusion.”—Publishers Weekly

You can learn: How to Read the Wilderness

An Illustrated Guide to the Natural Wonders of North America

by Nature Study Guild

#HowtoReadtheWilderness #NetGalley

This book will educate nature lovers. There are chapters on flowers, fruits & ferns; mammals & birds; the ocean, and the night sky. Throughout there are appealing drawings, along with maps and other resources like identification keys.

Each section of this book is quite detailed. For example, the section on trees is carefully broken down by regions as, for example, trees of the southwestern desert.

This title is absolutely packed with information. Readers may want to hone in on the area where they live or a place where they plan to travel for this book to be most helpful. It then provides an excellent resource for someone who seriously wants to know more about their environment. I especially enjoyed a section on birds of my area.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Chronicle Books for this title. All opinions are my own.
